Vito 7212

Key Bb; ABS resin body; Nickel plated keywork 17 keys / 6 rings; Blue needle springs; Adjustable thumb rest.

B12 clarinets are made from ABS resin with an appearance and sound similar to that of genuine grenadilla wood. These models are lightweight, strong and easy to clean – perfect for even very young players.
The instrument, with plastic body rings, straight keywork and without the traditional bell ring gives a very attractive and modern design. The body is stained and buffed to give the appearance of wood. The nickel silver keywork is cold forged and induction soldered, providing greater stability, precision and quality.

The sound of the Vito 7212 is beautifully centered and plays with an amazingly fluid, agile and efficient response, making it the ideal instrument for the beginning clarinet player. It is extremely free-blowing and produces a clear, radiant tone quality perfect for playing in beginning ensembles. All Vito Resotone Bb soprano clarinets feature the exclusive Positive Radial Alignment Guide, or PRAG, ensuring proper alignment of the instrument’s upper and lower joints. Standard features such as power-forged nickel-silver keys, undercut tone holes and our patented in-line “Jump” trill keys have made this Vito clarinet one of the best-selling clarinets in the world.

New barrel design The YCL-200AD Advantage model clarinet incorporates some of the distinct qualities of Yamaha's professional and custom clarinets. One of these features is a 65mm barrel design that produces a focused tone and quick response. This will help new students in finding those hard to hit first pitches while giving an edge to students who have been playing a while longer. New bell design Nothing can be more frustrating to new students who are learning notes and fingerings for the first time than a soft sounding, out of tune instrument. A new resonance chamber in the bell of the YCL-200AD aids in projection and improves intonation in lower notes, allowing for the consistency and confidence in learning things correctly the first time. Valentino pads Everyone knows the rigorous lifestyle that a student model instrument endures. It only makes sense to use equipment that will match the lifestyle. Valentino pads are more durable, easier to repair, and less sensitive to temperature changes than other pads making them the student model choice. Matte finish The look of this plastic model is reminiscent of the more expensive wood models due to its matte finish. This attractive finish simulates the actual grain of wood while providing the advantage of a durable ABS resin material. Students will no longer feel uncomfortable playing their plastic model next to other students with wood models.

The 631NMO clarinet provides beginners with a bigger sound and better response.  Incorporating a slightly larger .583” bore and offset trill key configuration, the 631NMO’s improved scale provides better playability and intonation.

The larger .583” bore creates a freer blowing instrument that younger players can control with ease.  The French offset trill key configuration provides a bigger sound than the inline key configuration, while helping students to get accustomed to a feature that is the market standard on professional clarinets.

Other features on the 631NMO include 65mm barrel, ABS resin, matte finish, nickel silver bell ring, undercut tone holes, forged nickel-plated nickel silver keys, adjustable thumb rest, adjustable neck strap, and ABS molded case.  The 631NMO joins with the 631NM (.577” bore) to provide a solid choice for young clarinet players in any program.

Yamaha YCL-450

Selected grenadilla wood; Silver-plated keywork; Ergonomic key design; Blue steal springs; 17 Keys and 6 rings; Solid metal bell ring; Undercut toneholes; Adjustable thumbrest; Double fish skin pads; Buffet Crampon mouthpiece; Buffet Crampon ligature.

Recommended by music teachers because of their easy response and remarkable accuracy, these clarinets help the musician to develop their musical talent. These clarinets are made from grenadilla wood. This special wood is found in the forests of Mozambique and Tanzania. Grenadilla wood is known for its resonance and stability, making it an ideal material for musical instruments.

New 65mm barrel The YCL-450 intermediate model clarinet incorporates some of the distinct qualities of Yamaha's professional and custom clarinets. One of these features is a 65mm barrel design that produces a focused tone and quick response. Players looking to "step-up" their performance will do just that with this instrument. New bell design Nothing can be more frustrating than a soft sounding, out of tune instrument. A new resonance chamber in the bell of the YCL-450 aids in projection and improves intonation in lower notes, allowing for consistency and confidence. "Blue" steel spring material Intermediate instruments need to feel different than student model instruments. Part of making the YCL-450 "feel" better is the upgrade in spring material. Blue steel springs give the keys a lighter touch and feel while producing a smooth, quick action. Sculptured, silver-plated keys The silver-plated keys provide not only an enhanced appearance, but also a wonderful feel for the players. In order to make the keys to the appropriate strength level, a technique called power forging is used. The result of this hi-tech process are keys that are exceptionally durable and contoured to the best possible ergonomic shape. Straight tone holes with tapered undercut Yamaha intermediate model instruments set themselves aside with their use of professional materials and features. Straight tone holes with tapered undercuts provide outstanding intonation and response making the YCL-450 play like a pro model instrument.

Yamaha YCL-221

Model 7168 shares the same playing characteristics as model 7166 but has the low Eb key mounted on the body instead of the bell. This key placement provides durability and lessens key-maintenance problems. This clarinet is ideal for the beginning or intermediate bass clarinet player. Made of ABS plastic, it's very strong and durable, and doesn't crack easily. Jump trill keys eliminate the nuisance of water "gurgle". Its dark, rich sound blends well with any ensemble.

It features an ABS plastic body with wood-grain finish, a single register key, low Eb key mounted on the body, floor-peg, "Jump" trill keys, and a deluxe wood-shell one-section case.

The YCL-221 bass clarinet boasts the new pro-neck angle. The pro-neck angle is exclusive to this model and enables a more natural playing position. The matte finish ABS body on the YCL-221 provides a better appearance by showing fewer handling marks, warmer sound, excellent response, and a lighter weight than a grenadilla wood body. The position of the register tonehole is scientifically designed for extremely accurate intonation and the easy-to-assemble joint system and rounded key connector make this an ideal instrument for students. The smaller-sized case design makes it easy to carry the clarinet back and forth to school, and requires less storage space. The YCL-221 adds many new features to improve comfort while playing, reducing the risk of future problems associated with bad posture during rehearsals," stated Kurt Witt, Wind Instrument product manager.
